Williston Lake Resort

I stayed here for three nights as it was close to our site. Less country driving during the rut. The hostess was fantastic and the meals were great. Good value for its remoteness. I’ll be staying here next time I’m fortunate enough to work in the area.

Passing through and stayed there one night in late September. Absolutely beautiful. The lodge is amazing and the staff were great. All the trees were in their full fall colours. The food delicious. I can’t recommend the place enough.

And 100 stars for the food! I would give 5 stars for the rooms but I found the beds quite hard. Other than that, it's one of the nicest places to visit if you live in Northern Alberta or BC. Harry and Barbara are fantastic hosts who know how to make their guests feel at home. Lovely area to explore and if you've never fished in Williston Lake, you are truly missing out! The view from the deck is amazing and their is also a RV park nearby if you don't want to stay in the lodge.

Harry and Barb were so welcoming and kind. Barb whipped us up a 5 star ⭐ lunch and we did some filming for YouTube. They were so wonderful and their big beautiful dogs were happy to have a visit. We took a tour of the rooms, and the views are spectacular from every window. We will be back again. Highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for a breath of fresh air.

Location , staff and food are top notch ! Always clean and kind with excellent service, always run into great people there I’ve know over the years. If your a traveler or a working professional this is the place to go they have been here for years and years - worth the drive !

We had a wonderful dinner here. We were greeted warmly and given a drink by the fireside while we waited briefly for a table (they were setting up a high chair). To start we ordered the Spicy Mango Soup and the Pumpkin Curry Soup, both were delicious (we ordered two extra bowls to take home, which they easily provided us with when we left). We both ordered the Beef Tenderloin grilled on creamy cognac sauce with mushrooms and vegetables. Both dishes were cooked perfectly, the vegetables were crisp and the potatoes with rosemary were very good. We also ordered a side of tiger prawns, which were in a lovely spice and had great flavour. We ordered a Venice Dream - Shortcake soaked with coffe & Amaretto topped with cream cheese and whipping cream topping and a House Coffee - Kahlua, Baileys & Orange Brandy with coffee and topped with whipping cream to share, both were decadent and delicious. The staff were very prompt, we never needed to ask for anything with our meal and they were very friendly and kind with our small son, which we appreciated as we do not get out for dinner often and always worry if he will make it through the dinner without getting fussy. Thank you for a lovely evening and we look forward to dining here again.

They were the best hosts for my crew! The food was amazing, extremely accommodating with the odd hours of our work days, the views were spectacular and the resort was beautiful. 100% would recommend staying if your in the area!

Beautiful building, meals, and people. We thought it was on the lake but after visiting realized nothing can really be on water due to fluctuating dam. Boat launch approx 15 km away. Butler ridge launch closer to fishing than the one at the dam. The lodge itself is very nice and would be a great location for a small wedding.
